RTD sensors (Pt100Ω, etc.) measure temperature based on resistance changes according to temperature variations and are connected to measuring equipment through RTD lead wires.
RTD lead wires are available in 2-wire, 3-wire, and 4-wire types. Among them, the 3-wire type, consisting of two signal wires and one compensation wire, is the most commonly used in industrial temperature measurement.
Provides more precise temperature measurement compared to thermocouple sensors. However, the measurable temperature range is relatively limited.
